David Moore and I provide foundation restorative practice training workshop at University College, University of Melbourne three times a year. We also provide this training interstate and internationally.
The workshop provides 3 days of training on restorative practice and relationship management. The workshop is relevant for facilitators, managers, policy makers, and evaluators. Workshop participants:
§ examine dispute-handling and conflict management techniques for addressing challenging situations in justice-, health-, and education systems, and in family-, workplace-, residential- &/or other communities;
§ identify situations that can be addressed effectively using these techniques;
§ distinguish several formats of the group conferencing process and related skills for addressing conflict &/or complex issues, &/or promoting conflict resilience;
§ practise facilitation techniques that can be applied in a wide range of situations; &
§ understand how these processes and techniques can support broader systems of relationship management.

I coordinated the conflict and dispute resolution undergraduate and postgraduate subjects in the La Trobe University Law School for over a decade. I taught appropriate dispute resolution, negotiation, mediation, group conferencing and conciliation. I have also provided mediation training for the University of Queensland, Monash University, and the Resolution Institute, in its Judicial Development Program in the Pacific.
